FIRST OFF, I WANTED TO LET YOU ALL KNOW THAT SINCE OUR LAST MEETING, WE TOOK THE COMMENTS. THE FEEDBACK THAT YOU ALL HAD SHARED IN REGARDS TO REVISING THE SUPERINTENDENT'S EVALUATION.

THIS ADVISEMENT, YOU KNOW, OR THIS PROVISION OF THE EVALUATION REALLY IS JUST MAKING SURE THAT WE HAVE THAT WE'RE CAPTURING SOME OF THE COVID-19 COMMUNICATIONS RESPONSES THAT WE'RE DOING, OUR CONTINUITY OF LEARNING PLANS, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, YOU KNOW, PLANS TO REOPEN THE SCHOOL YEAR IN 2020-2021.

THOSE TYPES OF THINGS WOULD HAVE BEEN ADDED TO THIS TO REFLECT JUST SOME OF THE CHANGES THAT HAVE HAPPENED WITH OUR TIME SINCE THE LAST TIME WE ADOPTED THIS THIS PLAN.

ALSO, YOU'RE GOING TO SEE A HE'S GOING TO RUN RUN US ALL THROUGH THESE CHANGES, BUT YOU WILL ALSO SEE SOME INFORMATION TAKEN OUT, SUCH AS ACCREDITATION, SOL WELL DATA, BECAUSE THOSE ITEMS ARE NOT GOING TO BE AVAILABLE AT ANY SCHOOL DIVISION THIS YEAR BECAUSE DUE TO THE WAIVER OF COVID-19.

SO AS GREG MENTIONED, WE WENT THROUGH AND TOOK A LOOK AT COMMENTS AND FEEDBACK OFF OF THE BACK OF OUR LAST MEETING IN TERMS OF REVISIONS THAT WE NEEDED TO MAKE TO THIS DOCUMENT TO BE RESPONSIVE TO OUR CURRENT SITUATION THAT NONE OF US OBVIOUSLY COULD FORESEE WHEN WE ORIGINALLY CRAFTED THIS IN FALL AND WINTER OF THIS YEAR.

SO WE'LL JUST KIND OF WALK THROUGH EACH PERFORMANCE STANDARD ONE BY ONE.

AND I'M JUST GOING TO KIND OF CALL OUT AND HIGHLIGHT THE CHANGES THAT WERE MADE HERE BASED OFF OF THE COMMENTS AND THE DISCUSSION THAT WE HAD LAST TIME.

SO IN PERFORMANCE STANDARD ONE, WHICH IS THE MISSION, VISION AND GOALS YOU'LL SEE HERE, WE'RE HIGHLIGHTING IN THAT THIRD BULLET UNDER THE MEASUREMENT AND EVIDENCE TEXT BOX, THE PULSE SURVEY THAT IS FIRST BEING ADMINISTERED TO STUDENTS, STAFF AND FAMILIES THIS WEEK.

AND SPECIFIC HERE, WE'RE GOING TO BE LOOKING FOR DATA ON FEEDBACK RELATED TO THE COVID- 19 RESPONSE. SO HOLDING IN RESULTS FROM THOSE PULSE SURVEYS INTO THIS PERFORMANCE, STANDARD ONE. SO THAT IS KIND OF THE LARGE SCALE CHANGE OR I GUESS THE CHANGE THAT WE HAD HERE IN TERMS OF THIS PARTICULAR PERFORMANCE STANDARD.

SO THOSE ARE VERY MUCH LIVING AND BREATHING DOCUMENTS AND WE'LL CONTINUE TO USE THOSE AS MEASUREMENT DOCUMENTS IN REGARDS TO OUR RESPONSE IN THAT AREA.

THE MAJOR CHANGE TO THIS AREA WAS IN THAT LAST BULLET, IN THE MEASUREMENT BOX, YOU'LL SEE ATTENDING TO THE 2021 ACADEMIC YEAR REOPENING PLANS AND WANTING TO BE SURE THAT THAT IS FACTORED IN. THAT'S MAJOR WORK THAT I KNOW IS BEGINNING NOW AND IS GOING TO BE GOING ON OVER THE COMING WEEKS AND OBVIOUSLY MONTHS.

BUT VERY MUCH WORK THAT'S HAPPENING CURRENTLY AND WILL BE HAPPENING AT HIGH RATES OF SPEED THROUGH MAY AS WELL AS IN JUNE.

SO WE WANTED TO BE SURE AFTER THAT IN THE MEASUREMENT SECTION HERE.

BUT WE. PIVOTED THAT TO THE SUPERINTENDENCE ENGAGEMENT WITH MEDIALLY IN REGION FOUR SUPERINTENDENTS REGARDING COVID-19, JUST GIVEN THE NATURE OF THE 360 SURVEY WORK AND WHERE WE ARE WITH THE PULSE SURVEYS.

THE SURVEYS REALLY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT IN INTENT AS WELL AS KIND OF WHO THEY GO TO AND THE DISTRIBUTION OF THAT THAT WE FELT AT BEST AND MOST REFLECTIVE TO KIND OF PULL THAT BACK OUT OF THIS SECTION AND INSTEAD TO FOCUS ON ENGAGEMENT AND COLLABORATION WITH BOTH BOE AS AN OVERSIGHT ENTITY, AS WELL AS WITH COLLEAGUES BOTH WITHIN REGION, WITHIN

WE HAVE HIGHLIGHTED HERE WHAT WE WILL HAVE ACCESS TO, WHICH IS CERTAINLY EVIDENCE FROM OUR DEPARTMENT IMPROVEMENT PLANS AND HOW WE'RE DOING THERE, BOTH IN TERMS OF THE DEPARTMENT AND SCHOOL PLANS AS WELL AS THE COVID PLANS.

SO LEVERAGING THOSE IN TERMS OF PROGRESS AND ADVANCEMENT WITHIN THE DIVISION AND THEN ALSO HIGHLIGHTING THE IDEA OF IDENTIFYING THE KEY METRICS IN ACPS 2025, KNOWING THAT THIS WAS ALWAYS GOING TO BE A BIT OF A TRANSITION YEAR AS WE GO FROM 2020 TO 2025, WANTING TO MAKE SURE THAT WE'RE SETTING UP NEXT YEAR FROM A PLACE OF SUCCESS, THAT WE HAVE THOSE KEY METRICS IDENTIFIED AND THAT WE'RE READY TO HIT THE GROUND RUNNING STARTING IN THE FALL.

THAT IS JUST A QUICK OVERVIEW OF THE CHANGES THAT WERE MADE BASED OFF OF OUR CONVERSATION LAST TIME, AS WELL AS THE COMMENTS THAT WERE SUBMITTED.

SO IT SOUNDED LIKE BAKED INTO WHAT YOU WERE SAYING WAS THAT'S KIND OF WHAT WE'RE IDENTIFYING IN LIGHT OF THE [INAUDIBLE] PLAN.

LIKE MAYBE WE USE NWEA FOR PART OF IT.

I THINK YOU DISCUSSED THAT A LITTLE BIT DURING THE LAST MEETING, YOU KNOW, BUT I'M JUST KIND OF CURIOUS WHAT THE THINKING IS AROUND WHAT OUR GOAL IS HERE AROUND THAT, BECAUSE I THINK IN AN IDEAL WORLD, WE'LL HAVE SEVERAL DIFFERENT DATA POINTS THAT WE'VE ESTABLISHED FOR OUR BASELINE. THAT WILL BE A HUGE OVERHAUL.

WE ARE TRYING TO TO HAVE MORE CONTINUITY, THOUGH, WITH OUR STRATEGIC PLAN 2025.

IN REGARDS TO WHAT ASSESSMENTS ARE BEING USED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR, SAID THAT WE DON'T HAVE, YOU KNOW, ONE PLACE USING [INAUDIBLE].

SOMEBODY ELSE IS USING DIRECT READING [INAUDIBLE] YOU KNOW, LIKE EVERY SCHOOL IS DOING SOMETHING DIFFERENT. SO WHEN KIDS TRANSFER TO ANOTHER SCHOOL, WE DON'T EVEN HAVE, YOU KNOW, WHAT THE TEACHER, IT'S HARD FOR THEM TO INTERPRET THE INFORMATION [INAUDIBLE] STUDENTS. SO WE ARE GOING TO CONTINUE TO HAVE OUR ASSESSMENTS CONDUCTED AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR LIKE WE TYPICALLY DO.

AND WE'RE JUST NOW PART OF THE STRATEGIC PLAN.

TWENTY, TWENTY FIVE IS INCORPORATING MAP AS OUR MONITORING ACADEMIC MONITORING TOOL.

I JUST HAVE A RANDOM QUESTION RELATED TO THAT.

DO WE KNOW OF ANY OF OUR SCHOOLS ARE PLANNING TO DO ANY TYPE OF ASSESSMENT AT THE END OF THIS YEAR.

JUST AS A CAUSE SOME SOME THINGS ARE ELECTRONIC LIKE PEOPLE COULD LOG IN AND TAKE.

IS ANYBODY PLANNING ON DOING THAT JUST TO GET A SENSE OF.

YEAH, WE HAVEN'T TALKED ABOUT DOING IT AT THE END OF THE YEAR, BUT WE DID HAVE AN ASSESSMENT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE YEAR JUST BECAUSE WE DIDN'T WANT TO CONTRADICT THE DISCUSSION WE HAD WITH ELEMENTARY AND SAYING WE'RE INTRODUCING BUT NOT GRADING.

AND THEN PARENTS SAY, WELL, NOW WHY ARE YOU TESTING THEM? I WOULD HAVE HAD MY CHILD BE ON THIS EVERY SINGLE DAY.

AND I WOULD YOU KNOW, WE WOULD GET ALL THOSE EMAILS FROM PARENTS SAYING, YOU WANT TO TELL US YOU WANT AN ASSESSMENT AT THE END OF THE YEAR.

SO WE ARE WE'RE TRYING TO AVOID THAT.

BUT WHAT WE HAD DISCUSSIONS ABOUT IS REALLY THE FALL BECAUSE WE WANT TO SEE WHERE OUR KIDS STAND, INCLUDING, YOU KNOW, ONCE WE DO OUR SUMMER LEARNING.

WHAT'S THAT CONTINUITY 3.0 PLAN IS IN PLACE.

YOU KNOW, WE'RE HOPING THAT THAT'S GOING TO HELP NOT MAKE THE DEFICIT ACADEMIC DEFICIT OF OUR KIDS SO SIGNIFICANT.

YOU KNOW, I THINK IT'S STILL GOING TO BE A DEFICIT NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, UNFORTUNATELY, BECAUSE WE'RE NOT HAVING FACE TO FACE WITH OUR STUDENTS.

BUT MAYBE WE CAN DECREASE THAT DEFICIT THROUGH THIS SUMMER LEARNING THAT WE'RE GOING TO DO SO THEN IN THE FALL WHEN WE GET BACK AND WHEN WE'VE IDENTIFIED BECAUSE THE NEW STRATEGIC PLAN IS GOING TO BE ROLLING OUT.

SO WE'LL HAVE HEY, EVERYBODY, AS WE TALKED ABOUT MATH, HERE'S OUR MATH.

YOU KNOW ACCESS THIS, WE'LL GIVE YOU TRAINING DURING THE TEACHER WORK WEEK, EVEN IF IT'S REMOTELY IF IT HAPPENS TO BE YOU KNOW, WE'RE ALREADY MAKING ARRANGEMENTS FOR THAT JUST IN CASE. SO THEN EVERYBODY'S CONSISTENT AND THEY'RE NOT GOING BACK TO THEIR OLD WAY OF HOW THINGS WERE BEFORE.
