SO THE MINI TOWER REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT CONTINUES.

THE TEAM DID HOLD A VIRTUAL COMMUNITY MEETING ON JANUARY 13TH OF THIS YEAR TO PROVIDE AN UPDATE ON THE MANY HOWARD DESIGN CONSTRUCTION TIMELINES AND CONSTRUCTION SITE LOGISTICS. TWO CRANES ARE CURRENTLY OPERATIONAL ON SITE AND SETTING STEEL IN MULTIPLE BUILDING AREAS.

INTERIOR PARTITION LAYOUTS, PREPARATION FOR ABOVE CEILING UTILITIES AND SPRAY FIREPROOFING HAS BEGUN.

SUBMITTALS AND FABRICATIONS ARE ONGOING FOR ALL UPCOMING WORK.

CONCRETE POURS ARE CONSISTENTLY TAKING PLACE THROUGHOUT THE SITE AND THE CONTRACTOR HAS BEEN APPROVED FOR EXTENDED WORK HOURS AS REQUIRED FOR CONCRETE WORK AND WILL REQUEST EXTENSIONS AS NEEDED FOR SIZABLE COMPLEX EXCUSE ME CONCRETE SLAB CORES.

AND THE PROJECT REMAINS ON SCHEDULE.

SO THAT IS THE UPDATE TONIGHT FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL PROJECT.

SO REALLY THREE MAIN PIECES, AGAIN, SHARED SERVICES, FACILITIES AND HOW WE WOULD PERHAPS IMPROVE UPON THE TIMING OF THE BUDGET PROCESS FOR THE NEXT YEAR.

WE HAVEN'T SET THE DATE FOR IT.

I THINK WE'RE STILL KIND OF WORKING ON THAT.

EMBEDDED IN THAT DISCUSSION, PARTICULARLY AS IT RELATES TO CAPITAL, WOULD BE DISCUSSION ABOUT THINGS LIKE PREVAILING WAGE AND PROJECT LABOR AGREEMENTS, WHICH THE COUNCIL HAS UNDERTAKEN AS DIRECTION FOR STAFF AND HOW THAT APPLIES AND NOT APPLY.

AND HOW'S THAT WORK I THINK WILL PROBABLY BE PART OF THE CONVERSATION, PART OF THAT JOINT WORK SESSION.

SO I THINK THAT'S WHERE THAT IS.

I THINK I THINK THAT'S MOVING A REALLY GOOD DIRECTION FROM THE MEETING THAT THE BOTH THE SCHOOL BOARD HAD AND THE COUNCIL HAD PREVIOUSLY.

YOU KNOW, ONE OF THE ONE OF THE BUILDINGS IS ALMOST ENTIRELY COMPRISED OF A HOUSING TYPE THAT HAS THE HIGHEST STUDENT GENERATION OF ANY TYPE OF HOUSING WE HAVE IN A CITY.

AND SO AND I NOTED THAT WHEN WE WERE GOING THROUGH THAT PROCESS.

AS YOUR LINES ARE DRAWN TODAY, ONE BUILDING WILL BE ONE SCHOOL AND ONE BUILDING WILL ACTUALLY BE IN A DIFFERENT ELEMENTARY SCHOOL.

NO AS A LIVESTOCK. BUT THESE ARE SIGNIFICANT ENOUGH DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS THAT.

IT COULD BE THAT I THINK THE BOARD WOULD WANT TO HAVE A CONVERSATION AS THOSE PROJECTS COME ONLINE ABOUT ATTENDANCE ZONES.

AND SO I AM AM CURIOUS, MOST OF THE DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS WE CONSIDER ARE VERY SMALL, RELATIVELY, AND HAVE AN IMPACT ALONG THE EDGES AROUND A PARTICULAR SCHOOL.

I THINK THIS PROJECT SPECIFICALLY AND WHICH SIDE OF THE LINE ONE BUILDING FALLS ON OR NOT, COULD HAVE PRETTY DRAMATIC IMPACTS ON THE ENROLLMENT, NOT JUST THE NUMBERS, BUT KIND OF THE OVERALL DEMOGRAPHICS OF ENROLLMENT AT TWO ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS.

AND SO I DON'T KNOW IF THAT'S.

WITHOUT TALENT, WE CAN'T DO ALL THE GREAT THINGS THAT THE COMMUNITY WANTS US TO ACCOMPLISH.

WE CONTINUE TO LOOK TO STRENGTHEN OUR SMALL BUSINESS AREAS, AND SO THERE'LL BE DOLLARS IN THAT AREA AS WELL.
